What Happened?


Monday 30th, 2024 at round 6pm our EliteFlix started experiencing stability issues, the system is hosted overseas at a Datacenter, unfortunately the entire datacenter system and infrastructure was affected including our own system, it was notified to our team that the Datacenter was going out of business!


This resulted in our system being unstable i.e. downtime, reboots, system crashing with zero response from the datacenter team at such a short notice.


Backups?


In this instance, we were not able to save any backup's, all our backup's ended up being corrupted, this includes favourites, watch history, content, continue watching etc.


The only backup we were able to save was our 'user' database, which is the users that are within our system i.e. usernames ONLY.


What backup was restored?


We have to start from scratch, meaning you as a user will have to re-add your favourites, find your show and re-call where you left it to continue, we apologise for the inconvenience but this is out of our control.


Why is content not loading, playing, or posters not updated?


We are slowly restoring all the content (movies/ tv shows) back to the system, this will be a longer process to our usual process as it means requiring all the content and collection, we had the largest collection so it will take time but we will get there (approx. 50-80% of content will be back on system)


This also gives us an opportunity to review our catalog of movies and tv shows.


We are aiming at best within 2 weeks to be fully operational again however, pretty confident the team working around the clock will have the system up and running in 1 weeks time


You will still be able to use the system, it will just not look colourful/ pretty with nice images/ posters.


I am a paying customer and I am very frustrated?


We understand the frustration, no doubt you would also appreciate the backend work involved however, if you really can not wait for the system you have been enjoying for the last 5 years over $20 per month ( get in touch with our team via our Facebook Business Page HERE for refund for that month)


Note the following:


- It is a prepaid service (no contracts)

- Refunds will only be provided if your payment date is between 20th May - June 10th

- When refunded, our team will allocate your membership slot to other waiting members


If you disrespect our team member in chat/support, it will be escalated to our senior management resulting in permanent ban


We understand frustration but we DO NOT appreciate our staff being approached or talked to in a rude manner.
